Bravisa E-store: The Good, The Bad, And The Very Good.

One of my more recent finds is the Bravisa B-Store. They offer a free e-store with a fairly good selection of unique products that often times you won't see in other free e-stores. I've had a few things stick out in my mind about this service that I'd like to share with you, bear in mind that I am newly acquainted with Bravisa and this is just a first impression, new details will come as I learn more about Bravisa myself.

Bravisa B-Store Pro's

  1. Free! We love free!
  2. Easy to set up.
  3. You can add all their available products right at the beginning.
  4. This one's huge, you control the markup on the items.
  5. Linking done right, they make it really easy to link products on other web pages / blogs.
  6. Good information provided about the B-store and how you can use it.

Bravisa B-Store Con's

  1. The Choice of templates for your site is very limited.
  2. No option to make a custom template.
  3. The templates you are given look at best sloppy and unprofessional.
Why I still love this E-store:

Product Markup. You control the price for the items you sell, this is outstanding and allows for
alot of diversification and potential income. Five stars on this one!

Do you Squidoo?

Squidoo is a community where users can create pages
called "lens" to promote or sell products
on any subject they desire.

The Pro's of Using Squidoo
  1. It's a free service.
  2. Really easy to set up.
  3. Excellent help & how-to's for your lens via Squidu
  4. Automated forms to "tag" your lens.
  5. Making a web page has never been simpler.
  6. Squidoo comes loaded with "modules" you can use to add content and even sell stuff.

The Con's of using Squidoo.
  1. Squidoo acts as a middle man.
  2. They take 50% of all Google Adsense revenue earned from your lens.
  3. They take 50% of all affiliate sells made through your website.
  4. They do their best to stop any links from competitors affiliate services.
So what does all this mean to you?

My personal take on Squidoo is that it's a great beginners starting off point, but I wouldn't rely on it in the long term to pay your bills. Fifty percent is a pretty hefty sum and one ultimately I couldn't see myself being happy with. For myself the ultimate goal of my Squidoo lens's will be to drive traffic to a more profitable website hosted elsewhere. But even that is not without it's danger, with the Google adsense automatically placed on your lens, there's always a risk of losing customers to those adds.

An introduction to a revolution.

In this the age of technology, as more and more people realize the advantages of the internet over actual in store shopping there exists a unique and revolutionary opportunity for people with a passion to step up as leaders in their particular field of interest.

The days of purchasing overpriced items from major retailers is a thing of the past.

Today, right now, you can talk and share opinions with people who really know and care about the products they are selling via the internet.

Today, right now, you can purchase an item online and have it delivered to your door.

Today you can search for the items you need, you can near instantly compare prices from competitors, you can sit at home in your pajamas and you can feel good about ordering from top ranked trusted merchants.

Zlio, Google Adsense, and You

Our good friends at Zlio are at it again. This time they're bringing something big to the table, Google Adsense, the pay per click program that matches relevant ads to content on your site, however, they want a bite too, and for the integration of this service to your site they'll take a hefty 40% of all your Adsense revenues. Ouch.

Still this is more potential money for you, and why not take advantage of it? The service is still free, and that's what it all comes down to, making money with no investment of your own. Kudos to Zlio for continuing to exceed expectations!

Zlio E-stores Get Pay Per Click

Zlio e-stores are now offering pay per click programs from some of their merchants, meaning every time someone clicks through an item in your store you get paid for sending potential buyers to them. This is a very nice upgrade to the zlio stores and serves to reaffirm their position as a top free e-store provider.
The only downside to the ppc program, is that you will not receive any commission from that merchant if a sale does indeed take place. I find this agreeable because Internet shoppers are often "browsers" (no pun intended haha) and whether they buy or not, you can still profit. So be sure to check out Zlio, or give it another go if you already have!

What you need to know about Doba

Doba.com, an ebay certified service provider, connects drop ship wholesalers with people like you and me that want to do business online. I'm really impressed with the profit potential apparent here in Doba's plan.

Let me outline here just how it works:

  1. List the Product (Choose items to sell from their catalog.)
  2. Get Paid (The buyer pays you for the item.)
  3. Order Item (Order the product from Doba.)
  4. Doba Ships (Doba ships the product to your customer.)
And you can set the price on these items to whatever you want. How much you can make is in your own control. Doba really makes it simple for new players in the online market to jump right in and compete. They also offer a wealth of information to new online entrepreneur's that is very good reading in itself.

One thing that has made me kind of hesitant is that Doba requires a monthly fee, however they do provide a free 7 day trial, so you can take it for a test drive and see if Doba is right for you.

Amazon Product Link Building

After having reviewed Amazons A-store, I'd like to touch bases on another service Amazon offers for it's affiliates, the ability to build individual product links. I like this idea because it puts you in control. So you can build the store you want in exactly the way you want it, provided you have the know-how to do so.

Today while I am showcasing Amazons link system, I want to kill two birds with one stone so to speak and tell you about a real handy book for anyone that's interested in working with web pages online.

While I'm no web design guru, I still use the knowledge I've got from this book on a daily basis. It's an excellent resource for beginners and pros alike when it comes to making or customizing web pages.

That said, I want to explain a bit about the link above now. Using Amazons Product Link feature from the associates webpanel I was able to search for and find the particular item I wanted to sell on my blog. Once you've found the item you're given some choices as to customization, and then it's just a matter of copying and pasting the html code to your site.

The great thing about this is it lets you take control and build a store product by product. Offering complete control in how and where you want to position it on your page. For those of you that find Amazons a-store too limiting this is another great option.
